How Often Do Dogs go Outside?

We let dogs out starting at 7 AM and then another 6-8 times until 9 PM when they have their last walk for the night. Duration of time out depends on the dogs activity level and comfort level as well as weather conditions.

How do you know which dogs get along?

First we get to know the dog and establish mutual trust, we make sure the dog is comfortable with the environment and then introduce them to others through the fence. If tails are wagging, barks are happy and calm or dogs are mutually uninterested, we open the gate. We join in the intro session and watch. If they are calm or playful it’s a good fit and we can continue supervision outside of the fenced area.

How do you group dogs together?

Mostly matching personalities, I.e. playful young with playful young or old geezer with old geezer, big with big and little with little. Some exceptions to the rules; we frequently put large families of dogs (3 or more) out with each other and not others, to avoid pack mentality. What’s your pitt policy?

We want to ensure that all our pups enjoy their stay and stay safe so. Because their jaw muscles are so thick and their bodies are too, we put them out by themselves and we charge an additional 5$ per night.

Why is there a daycare charge when I pick up in the afternoon?

What is the “Out Alone” charge?

Dogs that are aggressive, we don’t trust, or that are a strongly built breed that can overpower us go out alone. We aren’t saying that they will be aggressive but if they were to be, we need to guarantee that others’ dogs are not put at risk of harm. Many well intentioned fur babies just don’t know their own strength; a Doberman is much denser than a labradoodle and even while playing, one could easily be injured. (Dobermans are just an example, many of them are docile and go out with others.)

The nightly charge of $27 for an altered dog is the charge for one day of care and the night. Picking up the next morning guarantees rendering for services due. Whereas if the dog is picked up in the afternoon, there are additional hours the dog has been cared for and thus more rendering for services.
